Dear Hawaii County Council Members
My name is Wallace Nakamoto; I'm a member of Kona Roping Club.
On March 15 & 16 2014 The 50th Annual Stampede Rodeo was held at the Housman
Rodeo arena, contestants from around the island participated approximately 250 to 300.
The Kona Roping Club has repaired and maintained this county facility for all these years
for the communities use. Countless man hours and expense by the club and its members
were use for its upkeep. I have personally asked two previous crucibles for support to
help maintain this facility with no response.
I want to thank Councilmember Maile David for submitting resolution 167 - 15. This
Funding will help bring this facility up to par like Honokaa & Hilo equestrian arenas.
There is still more needed in the future, the arenas ground has to be redone, new
bleachers and ADA resnooms are needed.
I humbly ask the county councils support for resolution 167-15
