RESOLUTION NO. 200 is
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A
MULTI-YEAR MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL SUPPORT SERVICES
AGREEMENT FOR THE KALOKO HOUSING PROGRAM, NA
KAHUA HALE O ULU WIM AS OFFERED THROUGH A REQUEST
FOR PROPOSALS DATED APRIL 15, 2015.
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease
or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year
or of more than one fiscal year, be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i, as owner of the property designated as TMK
(3)7-3-009:055, known as Kaloko, Na Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini, wishes to hire a qualified
contractor to provide property management services, including social support services; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD)
published a Request for Proposals on the Department of Finance Purchasing Division
website informing vendors that the OHCD was accepting proposals for management and
social support services at Kaloko Housing Program, Na Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini; and
WHEREAS, the OHCD is requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into a
multi-year agreement for three(3) years with two(2) one-year option years, with the
selected contractor; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAFI
that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year agreement with the selected
qualified contractor for the Kaloko Housing Program, Na Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini offered
through the Request for Proposals dated April 15, 2015.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that sufficient federal funds from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development will be budgeted in future fiscal years to
cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Clerk shall forward
a copy of this resolution to the Office of Housing and Community Development.
