Miura <br />Deputy Director <br />F1 <br />a <br />7 <br />+N <br />Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $17,586.55 to the Department <br />of Research and Development from the Honorable Masamichi Miyawaki, Mayor of <br />Yurihama Prefecture of Japan on behalf of his government. The Yurihama Prefecture is <br />a Sister City of the County of Hawaii. This money will be used specifically to benefit <br />the residents of Lower Puna who were affected by the June 27th lava flow. Also enclosed <br />is a bill to appropriate these funds. <br />The Department or Research and Development requests that this bill and resolution be <br />waived from the Finance Committee, and be placed on the June 3, 2015 Council Agenda <br />so the funds may be utilized as soon as possible.
