Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) intends to hire a qualified
contractor to provide property management and social services, for the Kaloko Housing
Program, also known as Na Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini. The OHCD published a Request
for Proposals (RFP) in order to find a vendor to perform these services and is requesting
authorization for the Mayor to enter into a multi-year agreement for these services.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a three (3) year, multi-year
agreement with the vendor selected to provide the services as described above.

Prepare a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year management and social support
services agreement for the Kaloko Housing Program, Na Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini as offered through a
request for proposals dated April 15, 2015
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
This resolution involves the current RFP 3226 from the Office of Housing & Community Development which
intends to hire a qualified contractor to provide property management services, including social services, for
the Kaloko Housing Program, also known as Na Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini. This multi-year agreement requires
County Council approval.

WINI AS OFFERED THROUGH A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS DATED APRIL 15, 2015
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above -referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request
is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
