STOP ROADSIDE POISON SPRAY ON HAWAII ISLAND
Aloha. Honorable Councilmembers,
I live in Kukuihaele, where I have posted "No Spray" signs outside my property. You see, I suffer from health
problems that are made worse by the spraying. If we could eliminate the spraying altogether, I would be
absolutely thrilled.
As it is, I dread the truck coming by every six weeks or so. I feel like a prisoner in my own home. It is a terrible
feeling.
There is no need to use pesticides to kill roadside weeds. On the U.S. territory of Guam, government workers
weed wack on the side of the road to keep down weeds.
I urge you all to stop roadside spraying immediately and permanently in Hawaii County.
