SECRETARY My name is Riley Smith and I am a Director and Past President for the
Shawn Sam Waimea Community Association. Our Association President, Patti Cook

has been working to provide additional recreational facilities for our

Jar,,) Edney Ranch in 1990 to dedicate lands to the County of Hawai'I for public park
808.885.8820 and recreational purposes. This was part of a rezoning ordinance that
J( ht eyn°9rnal.ran, recognized a serious shortage of public recreational facilities in the
Waimea area. These lands that were set aside have been used for the
Trails and Greenways project, as well as the proposed Waimea District
Park.
DIRECTORS
The Waimea community has, in the ensuing years, dedicated a tremendous
