Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Jonathan P. Bartsch of Council District 9, to the County of
Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commission. Mr. Bartsch is a 35-year resident of
Hawai'i. He is a Police Officer with the Hawaii County Police Department.
Mr. Bartsch states he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve
the remainder of a term to end on December 31, 2015, replacing Cleon M. Bailey who
resigned. At that time, he will be eligible to be reappointed to a full year term to end on
December 31, 2020. Hawaii County Charter Section 13-4(c), states that "members of
any board or commission appointed for a term of two years or less shall be eligible to
succeed themselves for an additional full term.
