Subject: Testimony to stop funding Roundup and neonicotinoids
Aloha County Council of the County of Hawaii,
I am writing because l had foot surgery and cannot attend the meeting.
Roundup is patented as a potent biocidal, an antimicrobial. You see, in the beginning of Roundup scientists did not
understand the human or any other micromb. They did not understand that our micromb was so important to our
health. The reason why they believed it was harmless to humans is because they did not think we had any plant
molecules, in our body. They had forgotten about the microbes in and around our bodies which number in the tens of
times more than our very own cells. These are plant based cells. This is what gets killed in our and our livestock and
pets.
Why is this important? Because when you kill off the beneficial microbes the body is unable to digest foods properly
causing dysbiosis. This intern causes leaky gut and then autoimmune disease, autism, alzheimers and more. Also causes
obesity and diabetes.
As for the microbes in the soils, which are so important in a natural thriving environment, is lots of microbes breaking
down the leaves, etc into food for the plants. These are all killed with roundup.
Glyphosate accumulates in our brains. It is a mineral chelator... binds minerals so effectively it leaves minerals
unavailable to the plant depleting mineral content of food making it hard for us to produce our serotonin leading to
anxiety, depression, autism, ADD//ADHD and gut neurotransmitters. Ultimately increasing cancer.
Neonicotinoids killing our bees. This year in the mainland there has been a 40% decline in the bee popullation this year.
Without bees we have nothing!!
I beg you to stop purchasing these. poisons that are killing us and our environment!!!!! Tree trimming on the roadside
makes our roadsides beautiful. Poison makes it all dead and unattractive. Please get educated on Natural Farming
techniques!! Instead of Roundup use compost around the trees. Utilize the prisoners for roadside cleanup. There are
very simple answers that will improve life for all of us. Citric acid from oranges that grow here!!
I am in favor of banning these poison's use forever.
I cannot count how many times l am driving down the road and realize they just poisoned the road and there is no
notification. How many times I have gone to the park and realized they just sprayed, but others do not know and
everyone playing and walking in it. Then there is the runoff into people's farms and ultimately into the ocean.
The damage has been done. The wolf has been in the hen house too long. There have not been allowed independent
testing. Most of the very little testing is done by the producer. There is too much use in our air, our water, land and
sea!!
