I cannot be at the Council Meeting at the West Hawaii Civic on Monday at 9 am but would like to let all of you
know that under NO circumstances would I like to see the council continue to approve the use of not only
Monsanto's RoundUp, but to avoid using ANY kind of toxic chemicals that leach into the aina, our waters and the
ocean.
I do not want it in the air, grass, ground, streams or anywhere around me. I don't want to breathe it in or have it
on my food or on the flowers I smell.
I don't want keiki and pets rolling around in it. It is killing bees and many beneficial little critters.
It does not work as a weed preventive, just a (temporary) killer that leaves ugly brown tufts of grass and weeds
behind, which will eventually become resistant to it and come right back up again in an endless circle.
Stop thinking of the 'easy way out' which is usually the most harmful. I am sure we can find more creative and
less expensive ways to get rid of weeds.

We live in paradise... let's keep it a paradise - Dead and brown weeds on the side of the roads and in our parks
don't look like paradise.
Please remove ROUNDUP AND ALL OTHER TOXIC CHEMICALS from the County budget!
