Subject: Please cease funding and.use of Round U p/glyphosate
Aloha Council,
Please remove county funding & purchases of Round Up/Glyphosate & neonicotinoids from the budget and stop county
use of these chemicals immediately & permanently. These chemicals are poisoning us, the animals, the land and water.
There are many safer, less expensive, non-toxic alternatives. RoundUp/glyphosate was recently classified by the World
Health Organization as "probably carcinogenic". Every child in public school is being poisoned on a regular basis due to
herbicide spraying on school grounds. Peer-reviewed studies have even linked low-level exposure of the chemical to
cognitive disorders and birth defects. Neonicotinoids are killing bees and causing a honeybee crisis due to bee
'population decline. Many countries and several U.S. towns and cities have banned or stopped spraying glyphosate or are
planning to, with many more to follow.. Thank.you.
