Subject: Roundup/glyphosate testimony
Aloha esteemed Council members -
I am writing to express my concern about the ongoing spraying of "Roundup"/glyphosate toxins on our roadways as
a means to control weeds. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently come out against glyphosate as toxic
& probably cancer causing. In many other countries, glyphosate is already banned!
While I know that many of you have families, children, loved ones, who you care about, I'm asking you consider your
greater constituency's health as it can be affected by the toxins that travel via air, land & water.
There are other, infinitely more healthy ways to combat weeds rather than poisoning us in the process.
I request that the council a hard look at withholding county funding for such a detrimental practice!
