Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 308, reports as
follows:
Bill 52, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 308 dated May 12,
2015, amends the State Land Use Boundaries maps for the County of Hawaii by changing the
District classification from the Agricultural District to the Rural District at Waimea Landmark
Estates Unit 1, Ouli, Waimea, South Kohala, Hawai`i, covered by Tax Map Key: 6-2-005:008.
The subject property is approximately 3 acres in area. The applicant is Waiemi LLC.
The Leeward Planning Commission recommended approval of this bill at its duly held public
hearing on April 16, 2015.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill 52, and
recommends passage on first reading.
