Dear Mr. Aralmla,
Please circulate this to the County Council in Keference to Bill SQ In conrtectior. with
the Public Hearing coming up on Thursday, December 30, regarding the new SCD
Salurkai Subdiviv'on.
We are a young family living in the Komohana Subdivision for the past four years. We
live on Kaheiau Street j ust 3 houses off of Lako Street, and since moving here have
witnessed three major accidents at the Lalco aed Kapuna Steet intersection. The
traffic that passes through Lako during peak times is already congested, and at times
dangerous.
As a family of 2 small boys who sometimes cross Lako Street on their bikes to see their
friends just 4 houses down on Kapuna street, we ask you to please consider the
homeowners in this family community. We have to supervise them each time, and if the
Lako Street becomes the main connector for traffic through to Alii Drive from Queen I~
we believe it will cause many in this area to feel unprotected Many speed down Lako
Street already.
We fee] it is iu the community's best interests to have more (at least more than the Lako
and Pionciana Streets) mauka-makai connector roads, both for the safety and to relieve
the traffic-congested Lako Streeet.
Thank you for your concern for the overall benefit of the 1Comobana and Kilohana
Subdivisions.
