SUBJECT: Request for a presentation from the Office of Information Practices.
I am requesting up to 60 minutes for a presentation by Jennifer Brooks, staff attorney for the
Office of Information Practices, followed by a discussion on various points of the Sunshine Law,
for a Committee meeting on August 4, 2015.
The purpose of this presentation will be to educate Council members, staff, and the public, and to
provide a legislative update on any bills OIP may have been tracking on the 2015 session of the
Legislature.
OIP is asking Council members to send any questions they may have in advance to
oip!cr,;hawaii.gov.
Please refer this item to the appropriate Committee agenda. Because the attorney will be arriving
from Honolulu, OIP has asked that this item be scheduled for the late morning of August 4,
2015.
