Re: Rebekah Taylor-Failor v. County of Hawaii
Civil No. 15-00070 DKW-KSC
Dear Chair Kanuha:
Pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4), Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended, we request
attorney-client confidential discussion in executive session to consult with the County Council
on questions and issues pertaining to its powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities
regarding the above-entitled matter, a lawsuit filed on March 9, 2015, alleging that the County
violates the constitutional rights of prospective employees.
We ask that this case be placed on the Council's August 5, 2015, agenda to discuss a
possible settlement.
Thank you for your assistance and consideration. If you have any questions or concerns,
please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email (j ennifer.ng(ahawaiicounty.gov).
Sincerely,
