RESOLUTION NO. 230 15
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR SIGNAGE EQUIPMENT FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation maintains, repairs, renovates, and
constructs neighborhood parks, playgrounds, ball fields, buildings and other recreational
facilities; and
WHEREAS, one of the responsibilities of the department is to purchase and maintain the
wooden signs that display the names of various County parks and facilities; and
WHEREAS, purchasing the necessary equipment to carve and construct the wooden
signs will defray costs in the long run and will greatly enhance the capabilities of the Department
of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of signage equipment; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
