I am writing to encourage the continued support by the County Council for the Kona Soil
& Water conservation District operations. I understand you will be voting on the funding
for the 6 districts on Friday, July 24th.
This group has been instrumental as a resource for Kealia Ranch in our conservation
planning and education.
The mapping services provided by the SWCDs are also extremely helpful.
I am hopeful that you and your colleagues will show your full support for this
organization and their districts as a demonstration of how you can support the
agriculture community with services that are much needed for improving our farming
and ranching in Hawaii County.
