Aloha Kanoe,
I am writing in support of continued funding for the State of Hawaii's NRCS and the Hamakua SWCD, which I have and
will continue to rely upon for information and assistance in planning and implementing environmentally beneficial land
management practices on our 20 acre parcel in Pepeekeo.
Educating and assisting landowners is key to the restoration and preservation of our islands' precious land and water
resources. The outreach, education, and technical assistance provided by these agencies' local planners and staff
provides us with invaluable information and support as we plan and work toward building a healthy, diverse, and
sustainable agroforestry system on our parcel.

Aloha SWCD cooperators and community members,
The Soil and Water Conservation Districts on Hawaii Island need your support in lobbying for our County funds
to continue our operation in providing technical assistance, grading/grubbing exemptions, and important
resources to farmers, ranchers and community members like yourself.
If it's not too troublesome, we would appreciate your support in sending a testimony on how the Soil and
Water Conservation Districts have helped you. Your testimony may be sent to this email,
