The NRCS soil and water conservation staff demonstrated high level competency in support of our diverse
agricultural production and our deep litter system piggery. Specifically, we.received guidance and
recommendations that were critical to the development of healthy livestock -ecological relationships . The
staff provided critical methodology needed to protect and promote the highest stewardship needed for our
diversified agricultural production and our no smell, no fly piggery. We strongly support the Resolution 216-
15 which authorizes the Department of Research and Development to award funding to the County of Hawai'i
s four soil and water conservation districts.
