Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 215-15, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 215-15, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 365
dated July 7, 2015, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year
for a multi-year agreement with Oceanic Time Warner Cable.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year agreement at a cost of$1,500 per month to
increase the County's interne bandwidth speed from 20 megabytes to 100 megabytes. This upgrade
would increase the County's cost by $180 per month.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawai`i County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation requiring the
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be
made or approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 215-15, and
recommends its adoption.
