Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
Just this week I was shocked to see a truck driving up Malina Street in Waikoloa Village spraying something on all
properties on Tuesday, 7/28/15. 1 contacted Kimo Santos, Environmental Control Manager for Waikoloa Village
Association (WVA) and he told me that WVA is assisting the county in spraying Ranger Pro (generic for Round Up,
containing over 40% Glyphosate) on all county easements that have weeds. I witnessed these workers completely
saturating the areas with Ranger Pro containing Glyphosate, spraying every easement whether there were weeds or not
(see attache photo). More importantly, the county and/or WVA never informed homeowners that they would be
spraying this toxic, disease causing chemical.
I demand that the County and Waikoloa Village Association acting on behalf of the County immediately ban the County's
program of road side spraying of toxic herbicides! NO SPRAY!!
