SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
HINA-LANI STREET- NO PARKING ANYTIME ZONE
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5. Parking,
Section 24-280, Schedule 28. No parking anytime, Paragraph (f) Kona be amended by
revising existing item (18):
(18) Hina-Lani Street, FROM Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway to Kamanu Street ANE
KEOHOKALOLE HIGHWAY.
This amendment is being proposed based in part on a concern that motorists are
parking along a section of Hina-Lani Street fronting the Ulu Wini housing complex. The
other reason for this proposed amendment is that since Hina-Lani Street is a collector
road, no on-street parking should be allowed.
