RESOLUTION NO. 269 15
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO COMMUNITY
ENTERPRISES TO PAY FOR ADVERTISING AND EXPENSES FOR WEST HAWAII
FORUMS.
WHEREAS, Community Enterprises is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization
that was created in 2005 to provide forums for the residents of West Hawai`i to share important
information with the community; and
WHEREAS, Community Enterprises needs funds to pay for advertising, refreshments
and expenses associated with monthly community forums at the West Hawai`i Civic Center; and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code,
Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via
resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event,
activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to
the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to Community Enterprises to
pay for advertising and expenses associated with community forums at the West Hawai`i Civic
Center; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
