SUBJECT: Waipio Valley -Bishop Museum
We acknowledge your memorandum of Mazch 2, 1999, transmitting a copy of the February 23,
1999, letter from Mr. Jeffrey A. Bell of Bishop Museum.
It is my understanding that the correspondence was also transmitted to Planning Director Virginia
Goldstein and Corporation Counsel Richazd Wurdeman. We believe that the Planning
Department is the proper authority to address the majority of the concerns raised by Bishop
Museum with regazd to Waipio Valley; and therefore, we defer response to Ms. Goldstein. Our
staff will be available for the PWC meeting to assist with any questions under our purview.
