I SUPPORT the Amendment to Chapter 2, Article 16, Section 2- 98 of the Hawaii County Code 1983.
I agree with the draft revision in Bill 78 at the end of Section 2-98:
No exception involving public funds shall be authorized without a public purpose.
However, I would add that the specific public purpose be fully identified, as well as to how this use of funds is
beneficial to the public at large. In addition, all this information should.be disclosed and available to the public
