ORDINANCE NO. 98 2
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 8, division 2, section 24-204, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows:
Section 24-204. Angle parking; designation; marking of spaces.
(a) The council shall determine upon what streets angle parking shall be
permitted.
(b) It shall be the duty of the County or State highway engineer to mark or
sign such areas.
U The areas of streets described in section schedule are
designated as angle narking permitted areas.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995
edition), is amended by adding a new section and schedule to read as follows:

SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring
need not be included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
