Subject: Protect One Person, one vote democracy
Aloha council members,
There is nothing more important to protecting and rescuing our democracy from special interest influence than removing big
money from politics. To do this, we must overturn the Citizens United and McCutcheon Supreme Court decisions which have
opened the flood gates of special interest money into our elections.
Mahalo to Council woman Eoff for introducing resolutions 266-15 and 267-15 which will, we hope , encourage our state to
unite behind a constitutional amendment that protects and reinstates our One Person, One Vote democracy.
