No. 447/ Bill No. 86 Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 86, reports as follows: Bill No. 86, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 447 dated August 25, 2015, amends Ordinance No. 08-72, which amended Ordinance No. 95-55, which reclassified lands from Agricultural -10 acres (A-IOa) and Agricultural -3 Acres (A-3 a) to Agricultural -I Acre (A-1 a) at Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key 2-2-48:93 and Portion of 13. The applicant is Glory Nani Mau, LLC, and the subject parcel covers 41.749 acres. The applicant requests a five-year time extension to Condition B (secure Final Subdivision Approval) of Change of Zone Ordinance No. 08-72, which rezoned 41.749 acres to accommodate a proposed 25 -lot subdivision. The property is part of the Nani Mau Gardens complex within the Pana`ewa Farm Lots Subdivision, Waiakea, South Hilo. The Windward Planning Commission recommended approval of this request at its duly held public hearing on August 6, 2015. At the start of this meeting, Committee Chair Ilagan, who was participating by videoconference from Hilo, relinquished chairmanship to the Vice Chair. Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 86, and recommends passage on first reading.
