The grant funds will <br /> be used to purchase a Stalker Speed Awareness Monitor (SAM) for the Kona district. In <br /> the current fiscal year's budget, $76,168 is appropriated for this grant. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the <br /> additional funds into the Speed Enforcement program account, and bringing the total <br /> grant appropriation to $91,168. <br /> The Police Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee <br /> review, and be placed on the October 7, 2015 Council Agenda in order expedite the <br /> receipt of these funds.
