AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII SECTION I. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-255, schedule 3 (25 mile per hour limit), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows. (1 Waianuenue Avenue Waiau Street to the Piihonua Bridge No 25-2 in Piihonua. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division I, section 24-255, schedule 3 (25 mile per hour limit), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (15), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows. (15) Waianuenue Avenue, from [Halal Street to Bayfront Highway.] Kamehameha Avenue to Halai Street SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-257, schedule 5 (35 mile per hour limit), subsection (c) South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: L) Waianuenue Avenue. from Piihonua Bridge, No 25-2 in Piihonua to Piihonua Camp 4. SECTION 4. Chapter 24, article 10, division I, section 24-257, schedule 5 (35 mile per hour limit), subsection (c) South Hilo, item (27), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended to read as follows. (27) Waianuenue Avenue, from [mauka terminus to] Halai Street[.] to Waiau Street. SECTION 5. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 6. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
