SUBJECT: COMMUNICATION 451,BILL 87,KAHILU ROAD RESURFACING
Waimea, South Kohala, Hawai`i
This letter is to request that the Hawai`i County Council make a motion to waive the 5-Day
Reconsideration Period(County Council Rule No. 15), for the subject Bill.
This Bill allows the County to receive funds, on a cost share basis, for pavement resurfacing, on Kahilu
Road. Kahilu Road is a Department of Hawaiian Home Lands road that is located in the town of
Waimea. Improvement of Kahilu Road will help to relieve some of the traffic when the County
undertakes the Mamalahoa Highway Improvements (Kamamalu Street to Iona Court)roadway
resurfacing project.
