It is my pleasure to inform you that I have nominated the following individuals to the North Kohala
Community Development Plan (CDP)Action Committee:
o Kristen L. Dirks Ah Sam (4-year term): Ms. Dirks Ah Sam is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. She is
presently the Programs Manager of Kohala Village Hub. She studied the North Kohala CDP for her
master's project at UH Manoa. Ms. Dirks Ah Sam is a volunteer with Na Kalai Wa'a, and Lalakea
Foundation. She states that she is not affiliated with any political party.
o Richard L. Elliott (4-year term): Mr. Elliott is a 7-year resident of Hawaii. He is self-employed
business owner. Mr. Elliott is a member of the Lions Club and the Merchants Association. He states
that he is not affiliated with any political party.
