Aloha Chair Kanuha and Members of the Hawaii County Council,
I am testifying in opposition to Resolution 272-15, and in support of Mayor Billy Kenoi.
This resolution directed at a parallel branch of government while an official investigation by the
Attorney General is ongoing in the matter is a distraction while the Mayor continues to work
hard every day ;For the people of our island. We should trust that the appropriate officials will do
a thorough and independent determination of any violations of the State and County laws.
Therefore I oppose resolution 272-15. There are many challenges and work that needs to get
done for the people of the County of Hawaii by this administration in the remaining months of
Mayor Kenoi's terra. Let the appropriate investigative agencies do their work and let's all get
back to the people's work.
