Subject: Against Res. 272-15
I speak against this reso. It has no goodness for making anything right.
This reso reflects how petty the Council priorities are when there are greater concerns at hand that need
attention and action by the Council.
A wrong has be realized. Correct it
The system is broken, Fix it
Condemning is not a solution.
What is needed are solutions to CORRECT and solutions to FIX the situation.
Resolution 272-15 does neither of those solutions accept to continue to seek personal REVENGE with an eye
for eye and a tooth for a tooth intension. Remember, judge not that ye be not judged.
In the reso you stated and I quote: "The Mayor has admitted to this misuse and apologized.
How honorable is that admission on his part? Where's your acceptance?
The reso also states: "The state Attorney General is considering whether to bring criminal charges for any of the
alleged violations". Let and trust that the Attorney General is doing his job and stop wasting council time and
the publics.
"The County Board of Ethics has to date deferred the matter pending completion of the Attorney General's
investigation'. You created this Board of Ethics with intelligent members but you want to do their job your way
with this reso.
When I reflect on Mayor Billy Kenoi, I am so pleased with what he has done for all the people of Hawaii
County and proud that he first listens to the people's concerns and by their merits, and by his actions, brings it
forth into reality
Where ever Mayor Kenoi, is, people flock to him because he comes from ALOHA.
The district of Kohala has been blessed in countless ways by his good deeds. Promoting farming and
sustainability. Fixing our parks and buildings after the earth quake. He has always cared for us Senior Citizen
and continue to provides all the Senior Activities.
If you were to spend the time investigating all the GOOD, our Mayor has done for the whole Hawaii County
and it's people, his goodness far exceed the disappointments.
Focus on bill 37.D3 Relating to the Code of Ethics and bill 78 Relating to Travel, No exceptions Authorized
Without Public Purpose and vote YES.
I do not condone the misuse of the Pcard situation but "he who is without fault cast the first stone".
Of
Respectfully submitted with ALOHA
