Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Resolution No. 284, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 284-15, transmitted by Mr. Ilagan via Communication No. 472 dated September 17,
2015, adopts the Hawaiian Paradise Park Community Master Plan of May 26, 2015, as the successor of
the Master Plan adopted by Resolution No. 184-97. The purpose of this update is to allow the County,
in coordination with other planning documents, to assess the future growth and development of the
Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision.
Three residents from the Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision came forward to express support for the
resolution and the attached plan.
Mr. Ragan recognized those residents of the subdivision that have expressed opposition to the Master
Plan, adding that the plan has not been changed, but only updated with current and relevant information.
Both Mr. Ilagan and Mr. Paleka gave thanks to all those members of the community that put forth time
and effort to update this comprehensive document.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 284-15, and
recommends passage on first reading.
