Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 92, reports as follows:
Bill No. 92,transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 468 dated September 9,
2015, amends Section 25-8-2 (North and South Kona District Zone Map), Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning
Code) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), by changing the district classification from
Agricultural —20 Acres (A-20a) to Agricultural— Seven Acres (A-7a) at Kaloko,North Kona, Hawai`i,
covered by Tax Map Key: 7-3-026:003. The applicant is the Jean A. Lorant Trust, and the subject
parcel covers 21.095 acres. The applicant is requesting a Change of Zone to subdivide the property into
two parcels to be used as residential/agricultural lots for the successors of the applicant Trust.
The Leeward Planning Commission, at its duly held public hearing on August 20, 2015, recommended
approval of this item.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 92, and recommends
passage on first reading.
