Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 95,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 95, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication
No. 478 dated August 28, 2015, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, of the Hawai`i
County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to speed limits.
The bill amends provision in Schedule 5 (35 mph limit) and adds provision to Schedule 3
(25 mph limit), both for portions of Kawailani Street, Subsection (c), South Hilo, to relocate a
35 mph speed limit sign to allow for a future driveway.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 95, and recommends its passage on first reading.
