Comm. 470: REQUESTS A DISCUSSION ON ITEMS RELATING TO THE HAWAI‘I STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES (HSAC) From Council Member Dennis “Fresh” Onishi, dated September 16, 2015, requesting discussion on three HSAC topics: the August 27, 2015, Executive Committee meeting; Kaua‘i County Council’s proposal for inclusion 2016 HSAC Legislative package; and the August 2015 HSAC Treasurer’s Report. Page 2 GREDC-10 October 6, 2015 ORDER OF RESOLUTIONS Res. 283-15: NOMINATES ENTERPRISE ZONES FOR CONSIDERATION AND DESIGNATION BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I Requests the Governor designate four new Enterprise Zones in Hawai‘i County, which would provide tax incentives intended to foster economic development and generate employment. The proposed designations, delineated in exhibits to the resolution, are Hāmākua, Hilo-Puna, Kona, and Ka‘ū. Reference: Comm. 471 Intr. by: Mr. Onishi Recommends adoption of Res. 283-15: Ayes: Committee Members Chung, Eoff, David, Ilagan, Kanuha, Paleka, Poindexter, Wille, and Chair Onishi - 9. Noes: None.
