Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 512, reports as follows:
Communication No. 512, submitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi dated October 2, 2015, nominates
Richard L. Elliott to the North Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee for a four-year
term.
Mr. Elliott was introduced by Charmaine Shigemura, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi, and appeared
by videoconference from North Kohala. Council Member Wille urged her colleagues to support the
nomination. Mr. Elliott said he appreciated the opportunity to help move Kohala forward.
Mr. Elliott was informed that he is not required to be present for Council confirmation.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 512, and
recommends confirmation of the appointment of Richard L. Elliott to the North Kohala Community
Development Plan Action Committee.
