RESOLUTION NO. 344 15
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR BASEBALL FIELD DUGOUTS AT KAMAKOA
NUI PARK.
WHEREAS, Kamakoa Nui, a project of the County of Hawai`i, is a workforce housing
community with a 12-acre community park; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation maintains Kamakoa Nui Park to
provide the public with safe, usable facilities; and
WHEREAS, Kamakoa Nui Park provides the community with a wide range of
community-based recreational and sports programs including baseball, football, and soccer; and
WHEREAS, participating in outdoor activities provides physical, social, emotional, and
intellectual benefits for youth of all ages; and
WHEREAS, funding is needed to construct baseball field dugouts at Kamakoa Nui Park;
and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for baseball field dugouts at Kamakoa Nui Park; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $20,000
CREDITED TO:
010.801.5801.33 Department of Parks and Recreation $20,000

110.588.5589.14, Kamakoa Nui Park)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
