RESOLUTION NO. 347 15
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR"THE SPLENDOR OF CHRISTMAS," A
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION FOR THE SENIORS IN HAMAKUA.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, has
identified the need for funds to provide a Christmas celebration for members of the Hamakua
senior clubs and nutrition clubs, as well as for the elderly housing residents at Hale Hau'oli,
Kula`imano, and Papa'aloa; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i believes that providing the elderly community a
place to come together to celebrate Christmas will foster a sense of comradery; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, for miscellaneous expenses
associated with "The Splendor of Christmas," a Christmas celebration for the seniors in
Hamakua; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $5,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5519.72 Department of Parks and Recreation $5,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
