I know that I can trust and depend on HIHS to have correct records of the animals' history, including any medical and previous owner. This is important to me because we frequently have children in our home, and I know that my one HIHS rescue dog had previous history of being abused, so I am careful to monitor my dog, preventing any unnecessary dog bites. If HIHS lets other rescue groups adopt animals out with no. follow-up tracing of their future homes, that animals' history is lost. There must be accountability to ensure the safety of both the animal and the adoptive family. Big Island Dog Rescue does not want to provide accountability, and therefore, I do not trust them. Furthermore, BIDR's head, Tasi (Brian) Autele has a long criminal history, included in my attachments for your review. Please do not give BIDR and other rescue groups authorization to adopt HIHS animals without a signed/approved adoption agreement/contract. Protect our animals and the adoptive families.
