Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of real property from the Hawaiian Paradise
Park Owners Association. This property is located within the Hawaiian Paradise Park
subdivision in Kea'au, Hawai`i and consists of approximately 20 acres located at Tax
Map Key (3) 1-5-039:267.
The Department of Parks and Recreation will utilize this property to create a public park.
There are no outstanding real property taxes due for this property and the Department of
Finance recommends acceptance of the donation.

PREPARE A COUNTY COUNCIL RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING: Zo
The County of Hawaii to accept the dedication of approximately 1.9'acres identified as Tax Map Key (3) 1-5-
039:267 from the Hawaiian Paradise Park Owners Association (HPPOA) for the purpose of creating a public
park.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Board in conjuction with Councilmember Ilagan have initiated this petition to provide a public park for the
benefit of the residents of Hawaiian Paradise Park. See attached letter from Ruth Mizuba, President, HPPOA
Board of Directors.

County of Hawaii the 19-acre parcel covered by Tax Map Key: 1-5-039-0267,for the
purpose of creating a public park. We look forward to participating in the planning and
development of this project.
The HPPOA Board of Directors voted on June 17,2015,to have me send this request to
you on the Board's behalf. We are requesting that a park be established in our subdivision
to support and encourage healthy lifestyles and healthy families.
