Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 364-16, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 364-16, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Comm. No. 600,
dated December 16, 2015, authorizes the Director of Finance to dispose of real property,
Tax Map Key: 4-5-019:020 (Tank Site) situated at Namoku, Hamakua, Island and County of Hawai`i,
to the Water Board of the County of Hawai`i.
This resolution authorizes the Finance Director to transfer ownership of the tank site by way of sale
at a cost of$1.00, to coordinate improvements to the water system in Namoku, Hamakua.
There was no discussion. The vote was taken on the motion to approve, and passed with six ayes.
Council Members Dru Kanuha, Aaron Chung and Daniel Paleka were absent and excused.
Pursuant to Section 2-120 of the Hawai`i County Code, the council may, by resolution approved by a
majority of its members, direct the finance director to negotiate the disposition of real property on
such terms and conditions deemed proper to governmental agencies to hold lands in fee simple.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 364-16, and
recommends its adoption.
