Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have nominated the following individuals to the South Kohala
Community Development Plan (CDP) Action Committee:
Julia Ann Alos (4-year term) - Ms. Alos is a 24-year resident of Hawaii. She served two terms as the
Vice President of the Waikoloa Village Outdoor Circle Board, and was the chair and startup person for the
Wiliwili Festival the first two years of its existence. Ms. Alos volunteered with Hawaii Public Radio
assisting their efforts to bring a transmitter to the west side of our island. She states that she is a
Democrat.
Mark S. Gordon (4-year term) -Mr. Gordon has lived in Hawaii for 1 % years. He is the Environmental,
Health and Safety Manager at JM Decker Group Hawai'i. Mr. Decker volunteers with the Waikoloa CERT
and Red Cross, the Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization, the Waikoloa Village Strategic Planning
Committee and the Kahilu Theatre. He states that he is not affiliated with any political party.
