Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate the following individuals to the County of Hawaii Fire Commission:
Marcella R. St. Ambrogio—Council District 1. Ms. St. Ambrogio is an 11-year resident of Hawaii. She
is an active retiree, who volunteers as the Neighborhood Watch Liaison for Hawaii Island, and the
Community Safety Educator for the Prosecutor's Office. Ms. St. Ambrogio also volunteers with the Board
of Health's Medical Reserve Corp., and she is the Hawai'i Police Department-VASH Liaison. She states
that she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed she will serve a term to expire on
December 31, 2020, replacing Carol Ignacio whose term expired on December 31. 2015.
Scott R. Susman —Council District 8. Mr. Susman is a 43-year resident of Hawaii. He retired from the
Hawaii Fire Department in 2004, where he was employed for 25 years as a Paramedic, Rescue person,
Engineer and Fire Captain. Mr. Susman is the Kaloko Neighborhood Watch coordinator. He states that
he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will fill a vacant term that will expire on
December 31, 2019.
