Dear Chairman Kanuha and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Charles R. Cartwright to the Kailua Village Design
Commission. Mr. Cartwright is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. He is the President of Big
Island Inspection Services. Mr. Cartwright is familiar with the KVDC having served on this
commission many years ago. He will be filling a position in the building/engineering category
because of his building inspection business.
Mr. Cartwright is a member of Rotary International and the Childrens Justice Center. He
states that he is not affiliated with any political paraty. If confirmed, he will serve the
remainder of a 3-year term to end on December 31, 2017.
