AN ORDINANCE AMENDING,SECTION 4 OF ARTICLE I (CEMETERIES) CHAPTER 4
(BUSINESS REGULATIONS), THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE, AS AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. SECTION 4 (Other Requirements) is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"No cemetery shall be located on land which is not owned
in fee simple. The section of a proposed location which is
set aside for interment scall be free of any financial en-
cumbrance. After the approval of a proposed location, it
,shall. be unlawful to encumber any section there at .which is
set aside for interment. _Lands which are transferred to the
Cov. t-�L_of Hawaii under the authority of an 'Executive Order'
the State of Hawaii for the est�iblishment, enlarcfement,
or exte,ision of any cemetery shall be exem-pt f.r_om the cands_
tions of this section."

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval..
