Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 628, reports as follows:
Communication No. 628, submitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi dated January 4, 2016, nominates Julia
Ann Alos to the South Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee for a four-year term.
Ms. Alos was introduced by Char Shigemura, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi. Speaking by
videoconference from Waimea, Ms. Alos said she is looking forward to working for the benefit of the
South Kohala area. Ms. Wille thanked Ms. Alos for her willingness to serve and noted that in the past
the committee had difficulty reaching quorum.
Ms. Alos was informed that she is not required to be present for Council confirmation.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 628, and
recommends confirmation of the appointment of Julia Ann Alos to the South Kohala Community
Development Plan Action Committee.
