Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 130, reports as follows:
Bill No. 130, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi via Communication No. 616 dated December 4,
2015, amends the State Land Use Boundaries Maps for the County of Hawai`i, by changing the district
classification from the Agricultural District to the Rural District at Kanehoa Subdivision, South Kohala,
Hawai`i, covered by Tax Map Key: 6-2-009:013. The applicants are Kurt Shively and Jason Shively,
and the subject parcel covers 5.497 acres. The applicants propose to subdivide the property into two lots
and plan to build a home on the new lot for a family member.
There was no discussion.
The Leeward Planning Commission, at its duly held public hearing on November 19, 2015, voted a
favorable recommendation for this item.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 130, and recommends
passage on first reading.
